Abstract
Fronto-naso-ethmoid-orbital fractures are the most challenging of all craniofacial fractures to treat owing to intricate anatomy of this region and the difficulty in fracture fixtion.
inadequate initial treatment will often result in severe deformity which may be extremely difficult or impossible to correct adequately.
An extension of injury into anterior cranial fossa with concomitant dural tears, cerebrospinal fluid rhinorrhea, and cerebral injury may be life threatening.
So, the optimal management involves early surgical exploration, meticulous bony and soft tissue repair and immediate bone graft, if necessasory.
We experienced 10 cases of fronto-naso-ethmoid-orbital fractured patients from March,
1985 to August, 1987 in Dept. of plastic surgery of C.A.F.G.H. and have satisfactory results
in the fronto-naso-ethmoid-orbital fractured patients with the following treatments: 1. As early operation as possible in consideration of patient¢¥s condition
2. Securing proper operation field during operation,
3. Open reduction including primary bone graft, if necessary.
